A COAST GUARD helicopter was used to evacuate an injured party from the coast path near Milford Haven on Friday (Jul 24).
Two coastguard teams assisted with locating and attending to the walker whilst a helicopter arrived to take the person to hospital.
Broad Haven Coastguard posted on social media staying: “The team were paged alongside HM Coastguard Dale to reports of an injured walker on the coast path between Sandy Haven and Gelliswick.
“On arrival it was decided that the most effective means of transporting the casualty was to task Rescue 187 for a helicopter evacuation to Withybush hospital.”
The rescuers desribed it as “A good team effort all round.”
