St Ishmaels: Fire crews battle blaze at Bicton Farm

FIRE crews are currently battling a blaze at a farm in St Ishmaels, near Milford Haven.

Emergency services were called to Bicton Farm, well known for its potatoes, on Saturday evening (Jul 25).

An aerial appliance and water bowser are among the appliances sent to the scene, our reporter on location said.

A large plume of thick black smoke and orange flame could be seen from several miles away, as firefighters rushed to the scene.

A Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “On Saturday, July 25 at 09:43pm, crews from Haverfordwest and Milford Haven attended a fire at a farm in the St Ishmael’s area, Haverfordwest.

“The fire involved a tractor, trailer, forklift and a container and was extinguished using one hose reel jet, a 45 branch foam lance and a breathing apparatus.
