NEYLAND earned their second win in a row on Saturday (Feb 4) as they beat Division 1 bottom side St Clears 4-1.

It also means they have taken ten points from their last five games and sees them move five points clear of the bottom two.

The two sides met just over a month ago and that saw Neyland earn a thrilling 5-3 win but it wasn’t until the 40th minute of Saturday’s game that the first goal came.

Jack John set up Corey Richards to score and the striker then doubled Neyland’s lead in the fourth minute of time added on.

Eight minutes into the second half the game was all but over for the Saints as Leon Barrett added Neyland’s third goal of the game.

Max Bowman-Davies added a fourth on the hour mark having been set up by Fletcher Picton.

The Saints were awarded a penalty in the 82nd minute and Jon Seeley converted from the spot, despite keepr Patrick Hannon guessing the right way, but it was just a consolation for the home side.

On Saturday, February 11, Neyland travel to Fishguard while St Clears visit Hakin United.
