CELEBRITY CHEF Jean-Christophe Novelli has teamed up with a leading Carmarthenshire hotel to launch a new arm of his cookery academy.
The French-born chef is bringing his culinary expertise to The Corran Resort & Spa in Laugharne, launching The Corran Academy.
The new venture will be launched on September 7 with the talented chef, famous for Hell’s Kitchen and Culinary Genius, opening the academy.
Budding chefs will be able to book in for a Master Class with Jean-Christophe, described as the ultimate cookery experience. This one day intensive and interactive course is hosted by the chef who will work with students in creating a specially designed menu.
His passion for food and creative excellence is passed on at every opportunity as students learn how to select flavours and seasonings and work with some of the finest seasonal ingredients available.
The day is relaxed and informal, yet professional, as Jean-Christophe is with students throughout and will present them with a Novelli Academy Master Class Certificate at the end. Also included is champagne, seasonal menus, lunch and food and drink throughout the day, hands on, practical and technical advice, anecdotes, Q&A and photos with Jean-Christophe.
Jean-Christophe said: “I’m delighted to be teaming up with The Corran to bring my culinary expertise to such a beautiful part of Wales. Working with The Corran’s Executive Head Chef, Cyril Royer, I have come up with a programme that is fun and I hope to pass my passion for cooking onto those joining the course.”
As well as the Master Class with Jean-Christophe, Executive Head Chef Cyril Royer, who has been trained in the Novelli method of cooking, will also be running regular courses at the academy and even courses for younger chefs with a special parent and child package available.
Those attending the course also have the option to combine with an overnight stay to make a weekend of it.
Prices for the cookery courses start from just £49.99 for the courses with Cyril with the one-day Master Class with Jean-Christophe Novelli at £625.
