SINGING for Fun entertained a full house at the Memorial Hall in Letterston on Sunday afternoon despite the shocking weather. The choir and audience really Raised the Roof in a light-hearted programme of audience carols and seasonal songs, interspersed with items from the choir and its two soloists. Cody Millard received an enthusiastic ovation for his performance of Jingle Bells and two other solo pieces, and Sarah Price brought down the house with her amusing rendition of Someone keeps sending me flowers.

There was even an unplanned item, courtesy of a young member of the audience, who volunteered an impromptu vocal solo! Thanks to the generosity of the audience, £591.85 has been sent off to the Salvation Army. The choir’s next (free) concert will be on Saturday 27June at 7.30pm in Letterston’s Memorial Hall, with a retiring collection in aid of Paul Sartori.
