Broad Haven School: Educations facilities will be enhanced across the region.

LEADING construction company Andrew Scott Ltd is delighted to announce a selection of new contracts, which will see the educational facilities offered across the region enhanced. The Port Talbot-based firm’s recent round of tendering saw them secure four new Local Authority projects with Carmarthenshire County Council and Pembrokeshire County Council. The acquisition of these new contracts is worth £24m.

The Andrew Scott team will be leading the build of Carmarthenshire County Council’s new Ysgol Carreg Hirfaen School. The project will see a range of primary education and nursery facilities introduced to the wider Lampeter area. The firm will also be constructing a new teaching block and sports hall, refurbishing the existing premises and completing external works at Ysgol Maes Y Gwendraeth Secondary School in Cefneithin.

“We are delighted to have won these four major contracts within the education sector. Our expertise working across the health, education, retail, commercial leisure, industrial, conservation, river and marine, bridges and structures, highways, infrastructure, and power and energy sectors has seen our reputation grow across both counties,” said Mark Bowen, Managing Director at Andrew Scott Ltd. For Pembrokeshire County Council, Andrew Scott Ltd will be extending, renovating and altering the existing Broad Have Primary School.

The team will also complete a series of works at Tenby School in Pembrokeshire, details of which are still yet to be announced. “We look forward to starting work across all four projects, and enhancing and introducing improved facilities across Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire,” concluded Mark.
